Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
We opened our arena for the first time to riders in 2003.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide horseback riding lessons for persons of all abilities.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After years of volunteering at local therapeutic riding facilities, we decided to establish a riding facility at our farm. We have years of experience both with horses and teaching children. It is a great match of our passions.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We limit the number of riders in each class to no more than four. This provides more one-on-one instruction for the riders. The riders in our therapeutic riding sessions can graduate to a typical class when they show the ability to ride off lead line and post the trot. We are one of a few farms that only use Haflngers in our riding program.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Davbisburg. Although we do not plan to expand the number of locations, we are looking to expand our offerings to include older/senior riding classes as well as more horse-related events during the year.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are located on Eagle Road, about a mile and three-quarters south of Davisbug Road. We are west of Dixie Highway, east of Milford Road, north of M-59.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash or check.
What are your hours of operation?
All of our sessions are scheduled or by appointment. Check out our calendar for complete listing of class times. http://www.prettyponypastures.org/Calendar.htm
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Our child has learned so much here.
